This is a thread to watch, I have never seen an issue as split down the middle like this.

I guess it comes down to what's important to you, style or practicality.

I wouldn't be without my "coffin" on the back - mega useful. Takes two flip helmets easily plus other stuff, doesn't affect the handling - its soooooooooooooo useful! it even takes our 5 man tent including poles in it!

if you want to know - it's an ex-army catering trunk - £80.00 from a show. - can also be sourced from elsewhere as it's made by Zarges - quite common.

It would be better if it had hoops for tie downs on the lid, but I am looking for some aluminium handles - can't seem to find any at the moment.

It's a definate thumbs up for the top box for me! - people who know me, know I don't do travelling light!

Now that looks cool and practical! ;)

Instead of handles, how about deck cleats?

Paul,
You should be able to get a set of D handles in B&Q, I'm sure thats where Lowflyer got his.

One of mine is fitted with tie down points from a boat chandler as well. You can just about see them sticking up in this pic:

Work very well.
