Most camping shops have a form of universal telescopic or adjustable pole. They break down into the normal three parts but the top section has an adjustable, innner, section. (thumbs)

Have a look at 'Tatonka Tarp stange'

I like these because they pack into themselves. They are well made and the overall packed length is quite short meaning I can get them into my panniers. The problem I had with other types is that they are too long to get into my panniers. It may not be an issue for you though. (thumbs)

Why did you buy it?

I got one of these for my tent:

Its only 5'5" but its great and light, they might do slightly longer ones.

And now, Harry, let us step out into the night and pursue that flighty temptress, adventure.

Tatonka, I have two and they are brilliant.
Packing them away can be fun! Those who have used them will understand.

Hilleberg do make nice stuff, but very expensive.
The tatonka imho has to be the best value for money.
