TTR250

Post by lancashirelad »

I’m thinking of buying a trail bike in the £2K range something that won’t worry me if I throw it at the scenery, plus I could use it while observing trials instead of walking!!
For some reason I’m being drawn to a TTR250, anyone got any thoughts on them??
***just like Britney Spears oops I did it again……sold the Scrambler & as of now there may not be a replacement***

Greetings,

Great bikes for green lane riding in my experience but if you are going where the trials bikes go perhaps a Pampera might be a better choice, down side no electric welly button

Brilliant bikes, have thrashed the nuts of mine for the last dozen years or so, done countless pig and knees trips, and tet trips, loads of info and parts at totally ttrs, and there really good on fuel. Good ones are getting pricey now though.

There is one for sale on ebay for £2k, in Nottinghamshire. Looks reasonably tidy.

Bought mine a few years ago as a bit of a project and it was in definite need of a bit (lot) of tlc. The forum is really good, loads of advice and guides and Totally TTR’s stock just about everything. Made the job a lot easier. I was surprised at the strong following the bike has and I don’t think I’ll be selling mine anytime soon even though it looks a little “cosmetically challenged” compared to the likes of the Honda CRF250’s and the like.
