One of the things I don't like about it is the engine is hidden, just like the NC750x, which to me means it looks less like a motorbike.

So true, it has Honda written all over it. Not for me. Too careful, too 'just right'. I don't really get this 'tall roader' thing. It has left over styling and bulk from a GS-type of bike, but no pretentions to even look at a puddle. Why not just buy a proper sports-tourer, or a tourer? VFR? FJR? ZSX? Pan?
