Re: the new james bond tiger
I watched it as well a few weeks ago and I was convinced the jump was a CGI scene but it is a genuine stunt. The substitution of a mono-shock dirt bike explains it because I just couldn't see how a rider could ride up those steps and do such a high jump on a 1200 scrambler . But then again didn't Evel Knievel perform monster jumps on a modified Harley-Davidson so I guess anything is possible? Certainly looks like a 'dirt bike' to me, now that I've watched it again in light of this topic... .

I'm sure I read in the last issue Bike mag that the big jump was done by ex-enduro champ Paul Edmondson (or someone similar) and it was on the 1200.
Imagine that thing coming down from 20-30 feet (maybe they had a pile of mattresses).
But other scenes seemed to use a lighter bike and – worst still – I'm sure I heard the grating ring-ding-dinging of a 2-stroke, as Hollywood loves to do.
