I like Aprilias, but I'm not a fan of electronics, so given a choice between this and the Yam T700, I think I'd still go for the Yam which is the only current multi-cylinder adventure bike that I would even consider buying.
I hear Aprilia is running at least one recall campaign on the current 660s, too. Hopefully these issues will have been resolved on the new bike.

Has that one above already crashed and damaged the headlight?

That's really funny. I was literally just about to say how I liked the design of the headlamp !!

having seen the vid I have to say I really like it...they've got it really slim over the seat. If the $ price is the same in £ then it will be more expensive than the Yam and cheaper than the KTM.

I like the look of this Aprilia. Sensible weight & power.
Best looking bike so far in this class IMO( the T7 is slabby with a ridiculously high headstock area, heavy too).

Yamaha is having supply issues with the T7 in the USA, so that may get aprilia off to a good start in the early part of next year. Aprilias to me are a very exciting bike to ride: the questions I'd have over this one would relate to reliability and whether the electronics were needlessly complex. I may be in a minority here, but I don't like having to look at a screen and press loads of buttons before I can ride a bike.
I've ridden an aprilia with three riding modes: they were 'snatchy', 'perfect' and 'gutless with added turbo-lag'. Wh anyone would want to select anything other than 'perfect' is a mystery.

Well, I'm with you in that minority. I won't ever forget a guy I came across on a newish, electronically-laden Africa Twin on a remote part Ruta 40 in Argentina... the bike had fallen over and damaged some kind of sensor in or near the airbox. It had to be taken to the nearest Honda agent, some considerable distance away, to have the sensor fixed and the computer re-set. My old AT would simply need picking up and riding away in that situation.
The issue of T7 shortages in N America is being voiced all the time on T7 forums; I think its popularity has been far greater than expected.
