Fantic Caballero Rally Progress Report.

Post by lancashirelad »

I’ve racked up about 350mls on the Rally & up to now I’m happy with it, its loosening up nicely, & it’s one of the few bikes I’ve had that I can see more than elbows in the mirrors, nicely at home in the country lanes up here, can keep up on duel carriageways, I’ve yet to try it on a motorway, but 70mph is fairly smooth on it, I had a ride out today to Glasson Dock, & then Knott End bike nights which as you’d expect were very busy.

In the late 80s I used to go with a group of guys sea fishing, we used to go to Condor Green to dig for bait, which I never did cos it were to messy for me, then onto Arnside to fish near the railway bridge, I only went for the day out, I never was keen on fishing, as soon as we got there it was pies all round from the local bakery, then about 11am we used to go to the pub, a few beers, back to the fishing for an hour, then pack up & go home, lovely area I still go to Arnside for a day out, & many time sit there thinking of the guys I went fishing with, we all worked in the building trade together, sadly most of em are long gone now.
