This will be a Marmite bike to some. My fabrication Guru nicked me 250L engine out me CRF500L build and is constructing a lightweight backcountry redneck boulder hoping incline scuttling fun to ride bike aiming for below 100kg. Watch this space..!! ImageImageImageImageImage

Electrics all but done we are running this little fella up later in week..!! Ridiculously light it get's carried round the workshop not wheeled....

Looking good. It's got something of the Huskie Vitpilen about it. Ground clearance looks good. I take one look at those electrics and shudder - I'm gradually re-wiring my Beta and it's a horrible job. Some people find electrics easy and logical; for me they are a dark art.

What are your plans for the finish. Will it be shiny and painted? Or mad-max red-neck?

Nice bits of old school logic there--bashplate is part of the frame, and the rear shocks put their load into the main loop--no real subframe required(ref BM back in the early 80s etc). Will it be registered?--I guess an MOT is all that is required to submit to the DVLA?
