In 1969 on my 16th birthday I got up at 6am to ride my C15T round the local area before I went to work my first bike on the road.
I saw this on eBay & thought now I like that it’d be a nice bike to show?
Now that is nice?

Re: Now that is nice?
The only problem is it’s located in the Isle of Lewis, I’m chairman of a classic bike club so I’ve a fair idea of prices, but I asked a mate of mine who does more messing with classics and he valued it less than I thought there’s about 160 watchers so owt can happen, I’d ideally like a T100C with a decent front brake I had a TR5T a few years ago & the front brake on those was pity full. or as my mate said “talk yourself out of the C15T cos the novelty will soon wear off”

The C15T went for £4075 which was a fair price I thought £4500 but I resisted the temptation I don’t mind risking £2K on a bike I’ve not seen but wouldn’t like to risk £4K to be honest?

Re: Now that is nice?
isn't it amazing how the old british bikes still maintain a big draw of interest in us bikers?
I used to have a book of british bikes... gone now .. must get another book ...
any recommendations?
[i decided, when triumph was resurrected first, that i would not even look at their blurb .. but i am coming around to the idea .. in principle, if not in the iron?]

Another pitiful front brake british bike but at least it had loads of engine braking

What you can't see in this shot, but just off camera, is Phil beating up a Lambretta rider....PHILinFRANCE wrote: ↑Sat Feb 13, 2021 3:32 pm These nice copies are getting rare and pricey here in France
