Re: UJM
My old CB750FB ujm in Spain. That screen is awful, but kept the rain off fairly well. Mentioning of some old 'supermarket'-style dealers in posts above, my experiences were not too bad at Elite Motors of Tooting and Comerfords in Thames Ditton, both of whom seemed to sell virtually every brand, with Comerfords being KTM importer of the time. Oddly enough, many years later a guy named Mike Coburn became a client of mine, after he had sold Coburn & Hughes, another big supermarket-type dealer that imported various Italian brands. However, by then he'd lost all interest in bikes and sadly didn't have a secret stash of SS900's at the back of his garage.
Re: UJM
I used to visit RAE Farnborough regularly on business in 1980's often visited Motorcycle City if I had time, brought 2 bikes over the years, both were from their back yard.
a Moto Guzzi Convert that I later 'converted' to a Spada changing the gearbox & drive assembly and fitting some fairings and Benelli 250/4, only 125 size but interesting little bike.

Re: UJM
Comerfords was massive...imported Bultaco when Bultaco was the trials bike to have.
Keith Thorpe (father of the more famous Dave) worked there for a while.

Re: UJM
Still thinks the Fazer 600 looks good today, and it works well.
If by any remote chance you ever need a set of front blue-spot calipers, I've got a complete set with braided lines from an R1 that will fit the Fazer...
Happy scratching...

Re: UJM
I think the main difference was the Guzzi had instruments on the forks/handlebars the Benelli had them on the tank
I was wrong just checked Youtube both have the instruments in the tank
both shown here https://www.mcnews.com.au/benelli-moto- ... l-aynsley/

Re: UJM
That’s very kind, but they work perfectly having never seen rain and benefited from a clean and service this winter.daveuprite wrote: ↑Thu Feb 18, 2021 12:23 pm Still thinks the Fazer 600 looks good today, and it works well.
