Excellent Oz review as usual--and tackling worse stuff than most of us will do with stock SOFT suspension. At the start he mentions the wr250r, which is what I have--and its in a similar vein--I have reworked suspension even on that --with SOFTER japanese springs, and a bigger tank. The concept of comfort, slower offroad capability, but loads of miles is where I'm at--and I think thats where most people are --if they would admit it!!

Thanks for that Minkyhead. A very good thorough review.. Overall they seemed to rate the bike pretty highly apart from the shock.
Like those lads I too just wish it was a 450.
Now then -rally or l ?😁

I'll be interested to see how people get on with these 300's. My mate has had a 300L for a couple of months and wasn't impressed with the finish at all. Peeling paint on the frame and the header pipe and a feeling that a lot of it was made of cheese, he's sold it now.

Compared with my three and a half year old Rally it really doesn't seem to be too well made ?

That is a great review, I enjoyed watching. Australia looks as good as ever too :)
And now, Harry, let us step out into the night and pursue that flighty temptress, adventure.

Amazing how Australia isn't actually the global warming induced smoking ruin we are told it was, isn't it?

Except that it is, to a large extent, partly because it's run by a PM in denial - which is basically what you're trying to do there yourself Richard. Anyway, you wouldn't want to be starting a daft ill-informed discussion about climate change on a CRF300 thread now would you? No of course not. :D

Seriously?

As of 9 March 2020, the fires burnt an estimated 186,000 square kilometres. it's only that oz is so big there are still bits left. If that was the UK that would be all of England, all of Wales and a third of Scotland. But lets not veer off topic.
And now, Harry, let us step out into the night and pursue that flighty temptress, adventure.
