Thanks. The TLR is 36 years old and good fun on steeper trails but only good for riding for a few hours or else you need to see the physio. I bought it as I used to ride a Seeley Honda 200 and its instant nostalgia.

At 6’2, it was awful to ride on the road
10 miles and I was in knots

Nice pair of HondasJtheLakes wrote: ↑Sat Nov 28, 2020 3:55 pm I always enjoy Minky’s reviews . So much common sense and unlike me he’s ridden so many other bikes, so has a comparison. Interesting that Kawasaki have launched a KLX300 so close to Honda as well. Which suggests that either they are breathing new life into this segment or the Euro 5 emission regulations have forced them into it.
My local Honda dealer has taken an order off me for a new CRF300 Rally and expects them to be here in late January. So my old Rally will be going. Will it be worth it? Who cares it’ll be better than my old one and I have thoroughly enjoyed that for 3 years.
About 18 months ago I did the Honda 2 day course at the Dave Thorpe Centre in Exmoor. Everybody on the course used the Africa Twins on the first day and by day 2 I was joined by two others switching to the 250 Rally’s. They saw the light, handling heavy bikes off road is no fun.
I’ll keep you informed when I get the bike..

Suprised to see this considering there is no word of release on the Honda website. I was expecting more time to sell my bikeJtheLakes wrote: ↑Sat Nov 28, 2020 3:55 pm

And now, Harry, let us step out into the night and pursue that flighty temptress, adventure.

The dealer has been in touch with me and said follow this link https://www.honda.co.uk/motorcycles/ran ... rview.html
At the moment he has a guide price of £6099. Looking quickly at the details, I'm a little disappointed the power gain is marginal and shedding 4Kgs is hardly 'game changing' but I'm retired, so it will be a new toy to enjoy next year when we can all go out and enjoy ourselves. Hopefully.
