Sorry , been away a while. The rack is a Honda accessory but purchased from BikerBitz in Thailand, who are very quick at delivering.

I read somewhere yesterday that if you ordered a 300 now the expected delivery date is now May!
There's a few popping up on eBay now , how are you owners getting on with them?

Hello

I’m now in the market for a trail bike. Assuming I go down the Honda route, I wondering if I’d go for a CRF 300 or get a used 250. (Non rally)

Has anyone has any real world ownership of both? Is the 300 worth the extra money?

I’ll mostly be trail riding in muddy/sandy East Anglia with the odd trip to Devon or the Peaks (using a van to get there)

Cheers

Neither 250 or 300 are going to be near fast enough for you Pete ! Your riding style dictates Orange or derivatives .

I’ve had 250 Rally and now have a 300 Rally. The new 300 is unquestionably a much better bike and if you can afford it. You will not notice the weight saving but the mid range power transforms the bike and it pulls much more strongly off road and the new 6th gear makes it more pleasant on motorways. If you like Orange bikes, yes it’ too heavy but the £3000 saving over a KTM will pay for a lot of trips and you will find servicing costs are a fraction.
