Adventure Bike

Post by ErikGustav2 »

Why ??

Does a modern adventure bike have a seat hight so high that you need a ladder to climb onto it ?
Have a rear end that puts the top box up in the air and put that weight very high ?
Put the rider decimeters higher than the driver.
Put the panniers above the wheel, instead of beside ?

OK. Ground clearence and suspension trevel is needed.
But this is redicolous.
It could be solved in a much better way.
This is just fancy look.

Fashion.
Ted Simon managed it on a Triumph 500, Nathan Millard on a Postie bike, Elspeth Beard on a road going BM. I suspect that there are an awful lot of Enfield Bullets that have travelled further and over more adventurous terrain than the average GS or KTM. Having said that there are a lot of places that I have taken my Himalayan that I wouldn’t want to take my Guzzi 1000.

Always liked my MT for the front panniers and it kept the rain off your legs
