Re: Guilty Pleasures
I'll admit this is a guilty pleasure never owned up to before, the so-called 'Dullville'. Enclosing bodywork and shaft drive makes cleaning easy, go-on-forever motor, an open lid with goggles would probably be appropriate attire, maybe a pipe too. The beige paintwork I have a soft spot for as well. Edit - sorry, I meant 'champagne' paintwork, thanks for putting me right on this a while ago, Paul

Re: Guilty Pleasures
Returning briefly to the matter of MT01's, the one I really fancied but couldn't get hold of was the 50th Anni edition, only sold in France with yellow/black speedblock paint or a blue Sarron alternative.

Re: Guilty Pleasures
Oh yes, another guilty pleasure I've remembered.... the cool-looking SCR950 street scrambler. A dressed-up XV950 custom, probably as much as at home off tarmac as the MT01. But it has a rubber belt drive so all is forgiven!

Don't understand it. It's a horrible thing and almost certainly rides like a dead cat - but I just kind of like it...
Styling reminds me a little of that strange Triumph Hurricane thing.

Re: Guilty Pleasures
Loving your pics, Mark. Good to see that the Deauville can be used in Australia as well as Europe, and that the MT01 and SCR950 are capable of such superb stoppies.

OK, getting quite worried about you now, Phil. You do realize that Klim doesn't make a tassle jacket, don't you?PHILinFRANCE wrote: ↑Mon May 11, 2020 4:14 pm Saw this Yam Bolt in the shop a while back ...................i like it sorry

This is it. And what the SCR950 is sort of derived from.PHILinFRANCE wrote: ↑Mon May 11, 2020 4:14 pm Saw this Yam Bolt in the shop a while back ...................i like it sorry

As a teenager our lot as usually black British bikes that had some chrome and very regular maintenance.
Then this thing appeared and all changed....and from that moment became THE one to have.
