https://www.motorcyclenews.com/bike-rev ... da/nc750x/
its quoted as 54bhp .. and 50 ft.lbs of torque.
Its very adequate for cruising along at legal speeds and very ok for overtaking cars and lorries, and for slipping around traffic. .. I got the S model so is a bit smaller and narrower than the X.
It can be a bit frustrating if you want to wind it up a bit, as you will be fighting the cruising nature of the DCT engine management … but it is possible by changing down a few times to get some beans spitting outta the exhaust.
Its best features are .. easy of riding .. confidence inspiring .. low c o g .. good roadholding .. economy, 77-83 mpg, but less if you rag it … slow acceleration but steady and powerful power surge .. brakes are good but the front deteriorates in the wet. .. good storage in the `tank` area. .. reliable and easy to maintain, .. screw type tappets, but not needed adjusting after 23,000 miles .. mind I not checked it either .. but running great. .. low seat height .. easy on chains and tyres as no hug e acceleration or top speed ..120 mph ok to get
it won't suit speed merchants or racing gods or power power rangers .. but a very good real-world every-day machine.

Re: NC 750 thread
The X model is slightly higher but rides beautifully, feels great, and has a lot more protection from the elements, having a proper faring fixed to the frame,
.. as opposed to the S model which is a naked bike with a very small one .. bikini front thingy fixed to the forks.
But being smaller the S can slip through traffic queues and slow lines of cars very nicely, but beware of angry jealous car drivers and huge lorry operators .. both of which you can skit around as you give them the bird … in a loud manner.
The DCT .. dual clit technology .. is very nice to have if you like that sort of thing.

Re: NC 750 thread
Well, I had a 700X a while ago for commuting duties, at which it excelled. What more can I say? Ok, I still go on the NC700 forum from time to time, although it seems more subscribers now have other bikes than NC's (but seem to stay on as it's such a nice, friendly site ☺) it's a bike for those who have absolutely nothing to prove, as the post above confirms!

Re: NC 750 thread
I can confirm that on the issues of (under)height, (over)weight, and (under)length .. I am willing to lie profusely. ..
.. but that once on da bike .. it really doesn't matter .. ..
