Sorry to change the subject but I’ve just seen that the CT125 has arrived with seven seas.

Plus registration cost, I wonder if Honda will be supplying the relevant paperwork. To be fair they have spotted a gap in the market and have invested to bring them to the UK, I doubt the mark up is huge unless they can buy them at a discounted price.

Love the khaki colour (I refuse to call it beige)Godspeed wrote: ↑Tue May 04, 2021 11:19 pm Sorry to change the subject but I’ve just seen that the CT125 has arrived with seven seas.

Re: Go Big and Ride Small
I must admit I do like the light brown, beige, khaki color--and its well set up to go anywhere at a flower smelling pace--good rear rack, high snorkel and so on--but its a lot to spend unless you have a serious trip planned on it. My Kawa SS I think was originally imported from Greece(never sold in the UK), and ended up in South Wales. We stripped it completely and had a proper powder coat done on the frame, and everything checked. Its had a new clutch assembly as the basket was cracked--somebody trying to overtighten to compensate for buggered springs--all ok now. The stock suspension is surprisingly good for plodding around, and being air cooled I think its about 128 kg--also a low seat but good ground clearance. The reason I put a pic up is that its sort of in the same mould as the CT125 but a bit bigger---the Serrow is about the only other machine thats similar. The kawa is still sold in Oz and eastern Europe--ideal for cattle herding and climate extremes.

Re: Go Big and Ride Small
There’s quite a few, much better, off-road options in the lightweight category including the XR125l and DT125, which you could pick up for very little over a grand.
Personally I think the CT125 has that unique quirkiness that sets it apart from most of the other bikes in the 125 category.
Pretty sure that if Honda could bring them in to the UK at around 3K there’d be loads of interest in them.

They'll sell thought because of the quirkiness
