I hoped that mine were just a bit of fun, but maybe in the future I shouldn’t bother.

There aren't many on this forum , who get out and about more than yourself lad, and that's with holding down a worthwhile form of employment at the same time. Keep on doing your thing bro'. I'm in no doubt the majority enjoy your contributions to the world of
'internet stuff ' ! 8-)

you can't please all of the people all of the time .. the main thing is you please yourself .. both doing the ride .. and doing the videos.

I really enjoy them, it’s the idea that a ride becomes a production to share with strangers that I find hard to understand. It’s probably me that’s the oddity. I’m glad people do it but it’s not something that would occur to me. 🙂

Sorry that you started a discussion about Noraly.

All I wanted to do what to enjoy the small bikes.
And that I am impressed of the bikes capability and of the drivers of those.
The proof that a small bike can do a lot more than most think.

The thread is about bikes, not persons.
But of course, you can always misunderstand,
And I will not respond to that discussion.

This guy did SA on a 160 cc Indian made bike.

So many time you see statements like
Indian bikes are crap
Everything under 500 cc is under powered
......
Especially if it is a Royal Enfield

Look at Noraly's speedometer.
20-30 km/h on those roads.
How many hp do you need ?

Do you know it has got me thinking about how we spend our time while out riding and perhaps it’s a separate discussion.
I have recently been wondering about cutting down on my posting of pictures and films. Why do I do it? Is it for me or my ego? Is it to remind myself of the adventures or to get as many ‘likes’ and affirmation as I can?
Certainly something to ponder further…

I think there is an element of reliving the ride when editing videos or putting together a ride report along with a further reliving if you read it again months or years later. If you've put in the work to contribute then you deserve to reap some benefit.
As to wether it is for you or your ego only you can decide but to me it doesn't need to be dissected to the enth degree and if it impacts or inspires 1 other person then it has a value.
Open your eyes and you see what is in front of you, open your mind and you see a bigger picture but open your heart and you see a whole new World.
