Brilliant Erik!
Love the waterproof apron
I came down that way, it was a lot quieter except for being overtaken by the fantastic cyclists

Re: Go Big and Ride Small
Continuing the small bike adventures. I’m currently in Avignon having ridden across to Calais and down from there. Some lovely quiet roads across the top half of France, but down near here the roads become spectacular. Think I’m close to about a thousand miles, bike seems to be OK so far, averaging at 144mpg. Hoping to head across to Carcassonne and Andorra and no idea from there

Looks great there. On Saturday I was towing a trailer full of compost behind my Golf and accelerating up hills the fuel consumption was reading ten times what you’re averaging! Bon voyage.

Re: Go Big and Ride Small
looks great Chris, love all these Corniche roads in France. The Innova should be perfect for it.
I'm away on my wee bike ( 248cc think it just qualifies ) exploring all the wee roads in the South West of Ireland,
Only managing 90 mpg though

Re: Go Big and Ride Small
So far I’ve made it to Andorra and one thing I really wanted to do whilst here was the Smugglers Route.
Riding up the tarmac’d side and then down the off road stuff is never my choice of direction but needs must. It was a little slow going down considering I’m on 2.75 x 17 road tyres so I needed to take it steady. At one point I was overtaken by one of those mad mountain bikers so decided to follow suit. I switched off the engine (there’s no engine breaking on an Innova anyway) and rolled down the hill just using the engine to get me through the Ford. I only got down to Tor to get a pic of the cafe then turned round and legged it back up again.
I know this route was used for smuggling and I kept thinking if it wasn’t for being on a bright blue bike with a massive pink sticker on the top box I’d be the epitome of stealthy
Again the bike held up well and reinforced what a master of all it is

Are you getting the boat back from Northern Spain Chris or riding back up through France?
Open your eyes and you see what is in front of you, open your mind and you see a bigger picture but open your heart and you see a whole new World.

Basically just cheap hotel’ing it. Last time I took full camping gear and worked out it’s easier and almost as cheap to find a proper roof over your head, and you can take so much lessHelicoptermanr22 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 01, 2021 3:39 pm Chris that looks freekin awesome, what digs you staying in?
