Re: Go Big and Ride Small
I decided a couple of weeks ago to trade my cbf125 in for a Honda Forza 300. It’s a wonderful scooter, with low down weight and I must admit I do love the twist and go nature of the bike.
The problem is that it’s maaaaaassssive!!! I feel like a bit of a child sitting on their parents motorbike and then riding off on it
I then took the new shape Forza 300 out for a test ride and loved it. Firstly the under seat storage area is more practical, the weight is 20kg lighter and the ergonomics fitted me better. Though feeling a total fraud and realising that I wasn’t even using close to the 300s power I plumped for purchasing a Honda Forza 125.
Really looking forward to the 40kg! Difference to my current 300.
Also the tank range is supposed to be about 300 miles.
Hopefully pick it up in a week.

I think Godspeed has a cunning plan. Buy up all stock of scooters in the country until he is the sole owner of every scoot. At which point he curls his moustache like a pantomime villain, produces a blood-curdling cry and roars off on into the sunset as the Evil Lord of all that is Small.

I think your reverse thinking is crazzzy mad, why would you enjoy less power and less storage/comfort...?
It don't compute.

Re: Go Big and Ride Small
Mac, I think the thing is that I’ve done such a big trip on the Innova’s 9.3bhp, so the Forza 125 being 14.7bhp then that’s a 58% increase. That should be more than plenty to get me all the way to Russia and back
The 125 has the same luggage space as the 300 but an increased tank range to 300 miles.
If you imagine that most bikes have a range of 160 miles, then they’ll be filling up for 10 minutes while I whizz past (well maybe not whizz)
Cheers

Great choice had a SH300 and yes lots of power but heavy, you can take the 125 anywhere and know by yourself you can manhandle it easily , even if stuck in a rut you can lift it out. On road great wind protection economical and great range. The 125 can still achieve speed limits, its horses for courses or users, its not all about the world passing in a blur looking out for speed cameras or pulling off big overtakes. There is also a satifactin in achieving the journey on a small capacity machine.
