I have taken the plunge and instead of upgrading/buying a better trail/enduro bike....I have bought this
a Specialized eMTB - very impressed so far
Why?
To compliment my trail riding and so that I can access now closed trails, thanks to NERC2006 and general TRO'd UCR's
Now I am free to explore all these 'closed to motor vehicle' routes again and also a plethora of Bridleways and canal paths and old railway lines etc, plus all the free to use MTB trail parks that National Parks and Councils are pouring money into, whilst motorised routes are not repaired and failing into disrepair, in some parts
It's the future ................for trails
The next step....

Re: The next step....
Cheers, I also think so.....electric is the future
It opens up a whole new offroad world and one that money is being thrown at, by the authorities
£223,000 has been spent on a new 12 mile MTB trail in Swaledale - from Keld to Grinton.....in the last 12 months
You'd never get the authorities spending £20k on a vehicular unmetalled route

Spesh lecky, you must be loaded, I was pricing them in the Dolomites last summer, 5.5k
Quite fancy one myself but never in a million years would I pay that kinda money, despite throwing tens of thousands of pounds at motorbikes over the years and a few thousand at push bikes.

Re: The next step....
a bit bigger rear wheel .. bit heavier suspension etc, .. a proper motorbike seat .. panniers ... would be nice
o .. and a bit more power, longer lasting too .. and ease of home maintenance .. great !!
trouble is,.. as soon as `they` see us enjoying the trails, they will put a stop to it ... nerc 2025 ?

Nah - you don't need that - you can get different seats and cycle panniers already if you mustgaryboy wrote:a bit bigger rear wheel .. bit heavier suspension etc, .. a proper motorbike seat .. panniers ... would be nice

Think outside the box though - it's not a motorbike and just go ride all the gnarly stuff
It's a different type of 2 wheeled Adv or off-road Bike that's all
