Hi I have been away
Still not found the key however I contacted Gilera on the off chance they could give me one from the frame number but they don't have one, They told me to remove the rear helmet/seat lock which is easy to do with 2 bolts and send this lock away to a locksmith to make a key as its the same as the ignition apparently...…...Either that or just change the ignition for like for like as plenty on ebay from that era.
Gilera did say that its the only one in the country they have heard off, maybe the only one in this condition also
Basically still sat in my garage and not moved as steering locked on, I guess the new battery is flat and ever time I go in the garage I just turn it over via kickstart (has electric and kickstart)
it cost me 1k + £200 delivered but will let it go for 1k, it is not road registered as came from France and I just have a receipt for that (I need to fined also......probably with the key )
For total honesty if I remember a fuse is blown on one of the lights and one of the hand guards is cracked/broken as it was previously just glued on the crack, the seat has been recovered but is a good job but apart from that its tip top condition for a 32 year old bike
