ive a fleet of 6 mt07s ..they never miss a beat are easy to service ..dont require valves until 24000..
on the motorway it cruises effortlessly at 90mph ..if you can hang on ..at 80mph its doing 5300 revs it has a tall cruser gear and if you twist the gas it just surges forward south of a ton eisly ..it feels similr to a vee strom1000
it will put old school engines to shame with it686ccs
much prefer it to the triple
mcn are roumering it to be under 7k ...that will be winner for sure (thumbs)
im not convinced about the adv bike application with the gearbox though on tickover in 1st gear its chugging on a bit ..hopfully they will put some diffrerent ratios in
great engine though (thumbs)
whats the wether forcast ..wheres me map

At 7k there has to be question marks about the suspension at that price. I absolutely love my 660z but as we all know is seriously let down by it's Aussies surely yamaha won't do that again.

I'm sure it will be fine on the motorway.
My Rotax Aprilia Pegaso 650's 'happy speed' was an indicated 80 mph on the motorway. Above that it went through the fuel quicker so time gained was lost doing extra fill-ups.
There was a time not long ago when anything over 500cc was a 'big' bike.

T7 looks pretty good so far.
If it helps keep the price down, suspension is easily improved for those who think they need it.
What counts is a good motor and light weight.
They got the first; let's hope they can deliver the latter.

I think there are going to be 2 bikes with the same engine, similar to what they did with the XT660Z, R and X.
I recon there will be a T7 version for serious players and an XT700 version for adventurers.
I say this because of the spy shots we have seen and the bike they had on display at the NEC last year. They both look to be in an advanced state of manufacture and both are completely different aside from the frame, engine etc.

yep, I've said that all along since the T7 broke, it's the sensible thing for them to do (thumbs)
