Yes just had my first service done (only done 4600miles) but had the bike a year! so its 8000 or a year whichever comes first, although I never really got this approach!£138.00. Not sure how much the major 16000 mile service will cost, but I'm hoping to be up around the right sort of mileage for this one! got a few trips planned (thumbs)

Re: new africa twin what are the service intervals?
you can buy a service plan from the dealer for £675. It'll include the first 600 one, the 8k service and if within the 2 years, the 16 k service (labour and parts). If you don't make the 16 in the 2 years, then you get an annual one. Basicallly, you save big time if you do get the 16 k in 2 years. Otherwise you're out about £100 for the annual. 16 k service is costly though, generally around £800 pounds. I am tempted but not sure if i'll do 16 k in 2 years...always hoping though
