Forgetting the 250s I've had a think back and the certainties are as follows though I'm pretty sure there should be more:
2 x Yamaha XS650
3 x Yamaha XT500
2 x Honda CB900 (the early DOHC ones)
2 x Kawasaki GPz750
2 x Suzuki GSXR750
2 x Suzuki GS1000

I also owned (or part owned) a few BSA Bantams and Triumph Tiger Cubs as field bikes between the ages of 12 and 16 but they don't really count because the lads in the village had a system where only 4 could be in the group that owned whichever bike it was and when one reached 16 another stepped up to the ranks of hooligans riding illegally from wherever the bike was kept to wherever we were riding at that time.

working in the business, i can tell you that it is quite normal, lots of people buy the same bike over and over, its a comfort thing i guess? im not a fussy bike buyer, thats why i have a honda and a beemer

It'll grow, trust me on that one.

One day you'll see another GSXR1000 at the right price and you'll buy it plus you know you'll eventually buy another XT660.

Most of mine were when I was a lot younger and if I needed some cash in a hurry it was always the bike that went. The XT500s I owned were in SA and that was a case of buy one new, wreck it in a no fault crash, get a new replacement one and sell the crashed one to a friend, have the new one stolen and buy the crashed one back.

The second GPz Kawasaki was an insurance replacement.

The Second 900 Honda was a bike bought as a donor after blowing the engine in the first one then I eventually tarted up the donor bike and sold the original (with the rebuilt engine in it) to fund a two week trip away in the Alps climbing.
