Best bike for Morocco?

Post by Alex_Troj »

Planning a ride to Morocco and reality is biting - there's no way I'm going to be banging down there on my WR250f. I have a budget of about £2,000 and want to ride trails, trails, trails!

Any ideas?

Or you could pick up an Africa Twin for that money if you're patient.

Ride TO Morocco or ship bike to spain and ride IN morocco. Big difference in bike choice if you ask me.

there is a campsite near Almeria, ive stayed there in the motorhome, where this rally http://www.intercontinentalrally.com sets off from that will let you leave your car and trailer there for a daily fee while you dissapear off into the dunes. its just another option if dont want to ride all the way.

As an aside, i was there last January when the intercontinental set off there are some fantastic bikes and vehicles taking part and its very well organised.

Sounds a great way to 'Do Morocco' without doing France & Spain twice as part of the trip. (thumbs)
