My Wife's MT07 has been on Sorn but with the sun shining and the promise of getting out again soon I rode it for it's first MoT since June 2019  . The 15 mile round trip out towards Mallory Park and back was just glorious 8-) .
The garage was really quiet so after putting her bike away I rode my Himalayan over for it's delayed first MoT 8-) .
Same route but on different bikes with a different ride, great to be out again.

Greetings,

After having had a replacement frame sat in a bedroom for about 9 years I am finally starting the strip down.

I took her to the coast.
She needed some fresh air and views.

Replaced brake lever, adjusted wheel alignment, replaced horn and backed off the steering head adjuster a bit, which went surprisingly well.
And now, Harry, let us step out into the night and pursue that flighty temptress, adventure.

Checked the fork oil level, one slightly too high and one slightly low, so used a syringe to lower overfill and top up the other leg, it runs ATF. Only checked because of one harsh bump but had more to do with the road surface than the bike but gives peace of mind when checked. After riding crf trailbike the cbf roadbike suspension always feel a bit harsh. Our roads are getting so bad that the trail bike feels at home on whats left of the tarmac

Got the 125 through its MOT :)

Then after testing the DR200 through the ford on the Fosse Way I changed the oil and fitted some barkbusters. Been a while since I changed oil and dropped my socket wrench in it!

Advice needed: sometimes when I press the back drum brake at speed there is a big clunk. What causes it? I'll take it apart tomorrow and see what's up.

Clunk...there's play somewhere. Get the back wheel in the air, and try rotating it back and forth with the brake on. Look and listen. Check the torque arm and wheel-bearings first. If they are OK, then it's wheel out and look at what horror there might be inside the drum.
