Oh yeah. That'll look spanking. I'm a sucker for a red frame.

Re: what have you done to your bike today??
I've had my Tenere 700 in for yearly service today and had new springs front and rear as well as some pre-load adjustable fork caps from Rally Raid. The rider sag is now just about spot on and the front end doesn't dive like a premier league player when the front brakes are deployed.

I have added navigation equipment to my Honda NX 400.
Budget setup.
Mount:
Shad
Cost 50 €
Navigator HW:
Old Huawei phone. With bad microphone. But rest is fine. But I had to replace it with a new phone.
No SIM card. I download maps via WiFi
Cost: 0 €
Navigator SW:
Google maps and map.me
Cato: 0 €
Charging:
Unit with 12V cig lighter outlet and 2 USB ports
Chinese for 10 €
(Well, should by something better. For 35-40 €. But i start with this.)
Optional HW
5" GPS to use instead of phone
Cost 40 €
Total Cost: 60 €
With option: 100 €

Re: what have you done to your bike today??
The low budget update continued.
While waiting for a long term solution for some luggage capability,
I made a temporary solution.
I bought a set of Chinese bags form Wish. For 50 € the pair incl shipping
It will do for now to bring coffee and sandwiches on the tour-
Or to bring home a box of ice creams from the store.
(Since it is a Brazilian made bike. There is no frame for panniers of the shelf that fits.
I plan to by some thing from Brazil.
My own workshop is closet down, since I sold the house.
But my button is treated well.
I moved the Air Hawk Seat from my Super Sport Tourer.
So no cost there

Frame looks great, Banana. You didn't fancy giving the engine a lick of paint before it went back in?Billy Bananahead wrote: ↑Thu Jan 28, 2021 5:26 pm Had a sneak preview of my XJR.

Wow, big job. It'll be so good when it's done. I did something similar to a GS1000 many many moons ago. Turned it into a kind of Yoshi endurance race replica. Loved it. Red frame, silver bodywork.Billy Bananahead wrote: ↑Thu Jan 28, 2021 6:02 pmThanks Dave. I thought that i would wait until i've fired it up before i spend any more money on it.
