Fitted a Givi E251 plate to the Precision Made Rack that came with the KLX250 I bought, PMR asked for details of the fit so I’ve sent pics to them, I still haven’t ridden the bike though :D but at least I can store my helmet when I do!!
The plate was a bargain £25 new in box usually £40+

Adjusted the chain on the V Strom, recently removed the lowering rear link's & put it back to standard hight.
Now waiting for a rear hugger to be delivered 😘.

Ian.

not a good week for my old lady, my throttle cable been a bit stiff for ages, baulked at buying a new set, BMW price for a set of cables is bonkers could not get a custom set made as they needed the original, not practical for me. made up a new inner from bicycle gear cable a little smaller diameter at 1.1mm and hand made nipples thought I would get away with it, even though they turned out well the outers were toast, nah. Was not happy with butterfly spindle bearings in the throttle body so one of them I had lying about and a set of used cables sorted that. 2 days later I could feel the high tension breaking down on acceleration so guessed it at a coil stick (not the first) a full used set of four came in the post they were a good price never have changed the secondary ones so just in case 50/50 which one, second go another primary one it was as I expected really. Indicator switch gave up working for I think the third time for this particular switch and it has probably been replaced before lost count to be honest but whose counting huh. Pulled this one to bits at least twice before but once the green death starts on the miniscule contacts the future aint going to be orange for long little bastards they are IMO they dont belong out in the weather on a Moto. Got some spare micro switches so may be cutting and soldering tomorow or just the spare cluster may go on, I hate soldering probably as I am crap at it, got a new iron to try but I dont think its the iron that is the weak point . I am not holding any grudges at the old lady but perhaps she needs a younger sister to help with the the heavy lifting.

Younger models are always waaay more expensive and atleast you know where the 'microswitch' is on the current one ;) .

New front tyre the right size for the bike, 100/80-17, and a different petrol tank.

Finished servicing my Tiger 800xc.
Items include pumped right out front caliper pistons and cleaned up and bled system, cleaned air filter, cleaned drive chain, replaced dodgy Triumph throttle body clamp screws with Yamaha items and main item of concern was to replace the dodgy stepper motor idle mechanism (although it still has to be wired in) with a manual adjuster for a Daytona 675. We shall see about that. Not forgetting the oil and filter change, coolant top up and original bash plate instead of the Heed affair.
