The Triumph has the most mind blowing heated grips, high is almost unbearable.
Waiting for it to reach 6c before popping out for an hour or two to get it to first service mileage....not my usual time of year for road riding.
By the way, taking a photo of a very black bike in winter shade isn’t that clever.

A nice looking bike you’ve chosen. Enjoy.
Try not to leave to much nasty road salt on it!!

Thanks - Just been frozen to death going out via Dungeness this morning. Photo posing outside Derek Jarman’s famous cottage. Just had a long blast from the hose all over the bike as they salted the roads last night. If it warms up I’ll give it a better wash in the morning.

As kids we got dragged out there in the summer holidays and it was nearly always blowing a gale and hissing it down.
Four adults and three under 10’s in an Austin 7  with Wells Fargo box on the roof.
It made me hate the place but have turned that round in the last few years and love the bleakness now. It’s wonderful on any sunny day but still has a certain charm in bad weather.

Thought I'd bring this back as lockdown has given us all time to to tinker.

This weekend I got my new (to me) XR125 into the virtual workshop and tidied up all the body panels with the stanley blade technique and finished them with some lacquer.

Next I got the engine open and replaced the slightly leaking gasket and while I was there adjusted the tappets.

Then I got the clutch cover off and cleaned out the wierd centifugal oil filter and tried to remove it to get to the clutch plates but I need to get a special tool for that it seems...

I also made a little (not very good) rear brake switch bracket so I could remove the very heavy rear foot rests.
And now, Harry, let us step out into the night and pursue that flighty temptress, adventure.

Suzuki DR200 Djebel.
