I rode it. I actually rode it.
Another 81 miles added to the already lunar mileage of 100.

Time to trade in ??

Took the GSA out last weekend for a local run, mainly to keep the battery charged, that’s my excuse.
Back home and noticed the fuel warning flashing on dash. These BMWs have a fuel sender strip not a more usual float.
Common issue with these, mines a 2010, so eleven years if it’s original.
£145 for the part and tank needs to come off, pain in the pocket and the arse.
However, found a YouTube video where the use of a gas barbecue lighter with a couple of wires soldered to it, then zap the terminals, which are easy to get to.
It’s worked!
Fingers crossed it stays that way.

As I’m over in Yarkshire for a few days I was going to go to Rufforth this am & see what classics were about but I decided against it so now I’m trawling eBay seeing what takes my fancy but I’ve gotta stop buying bikes an impulse & think it through :D :D

Kate & I finished decorating the outside of the house...so finally got the tanks back on the big KTM.

Now just got a weep from the bottom of the fork to attend to.

Then it's time to set up the suspension of the 525 and stick some new tyres on, and put new trials tyres on the Gas Gas.

Sometimes I think I should just sell the lot and buy a really simple bike....

Fitted Montana powered cradle and a switched usb to the DR200. Not sure how they will cope with the vibey little bike but we will find out tomorrow.
And now, Harry, let us step out into the night and pursue that flighty temptress, adventure.

Suzuki DR200 Djebel.

We rode a 70 mile circuit this morning including a coffee stop at a local beauty spot and another at our Sons house. Great to get out especially for my Wife who hasn't ridden for 14 months.
