I still can't decide !!! Tenere 660 or F800gs ?

Looks like i've got 2 viewings on my KTM950sm this week and i know the first to see will buy . I'm selling it to get a bike that is more suitable to ride the trails than my DL650 . I need a bike that will be comfortable on the road and suitable for the trails and cant decide between the F800gs and 660 Tenere ! They both have good feedback from owners and both seem suitable .
Whats your views folks ?
Why did you sell your F800gs ? Any faults problems?

Aren't both the F800GS and the 660 Tenere heavier than the Wee strom?

Hmmm it is a hard decision mate I havent owened an 800 gs but have ridden one and the do ride great and certainly more power than the tenere,also know a few people with them and they love em

The only thing I can see between them is cost to repair seems to me dropping the 800gs on the trails etc could work out a lot more expensive than the tenere

I love my tenere but would also like a 800 to keep it company

No the Wee is heavier than both .15KG roughly , and is more suited to the road ..
The Wee is a keeper , a very underated bike thats good for long distances and seems to fit me perfect .

But then saying that I sat on a serteao at the ullapool rally and that did feel very comfy

ive had both. i think the 800 is better in almost everyway. it feels lighter although i think on paper theyre similar. its quicker, handles better, less top heavy, just as economical. the tenere only really trumps it in range and dakar feel, i preferred the riding position of the tenere. of course the tenere is cheaper and probably cheaper to repair and service also.

to add my tuppence, to me the seat on the 660z feels "in it" rather than "on it", it wouldnt stop me having one but if you like to move around on the seat to relieve numb bum now and then, it could be an issue. i love the look of the tenere but its typically yamaha overpriced. if youre looking at new buys. but then, beemer build quality lately? the F might be overpriced too!

Yes riden the Honda XC700 and thought it was poor . The power just seems flat and my DL 650 is a better bike in every area ..

if price is no issue, f800gs is the one to go for!

have the f800gs for short offroad strip - great all-purpose bike. better weight distribution, plenty of power. the only downside for me was the lack of torque at the very bottom rev end.

660 is more of a compromise bike.
