Re: Why did you sell your last bike?
Sold my lovely '99 50th Anni Transalp a year ago to make more room in the garage for building of a kit car. Then, shortly after, a straight swap of my '06 MT01 for a new but pre-reg SCR950. Otherwise, I haven't sold a bike for many years - I tend to hang onto them.... they're a pretty harmless vice, after all.

Re: Why did you sell your last bike?
I sold my Varadero XL1000V and my Africa Twin XRV750 as I was finding both a bit heavy and I was offered my Transalp XL650V back from the guy I sold it to 2 years ago. The TA650, which I had owned for years and had sold it as it as I had brought the AT & Vara. I enjoyed both but found they were feeling too large for me and the TA650 can do all I need for distance riding. Also sold my Evo Harley tourer as it was too heavy and wife could not ride pillion any more. Pleased the wife by reducing what is in the garage, but still have 3.

Re: Why did you sell your last bike?
The consensus with the Tracer 900 wind blast issue is that it's bodywork related and that Yamaha did not put it through a wind tunnel during their r&d procedure. Some of the Yanks solve the issue by grafting on a BMW GS touring screen but I think it looks ridiculous. It wouldn't surprise me if the same is also true for some of the other Yamaha models but I don't know...johnnyboxer wrote: ↑Tue Dec 06, 2022 7:27 pm

Sold my GSX650F because it was too heavy. I loved the engine in that bike. Suspension was sub par, I would have fixed that if not for the weight.
Now I have SH150i, which is almost exactly half the weight.

I would appear so, just about got the Tenere 700 wind issues bearable, with a USA made V Stream screen and flip spoilerScott_rider wrote: ↑Tue Dec 06, 2022 7:52 pmThe consensus with the Tracer 900 wind blast issue is that it's bodywork related and that Yamaha did not put it through a wind tunnel during their r&d procedure.
