Does anyone know what this is?

Post by daveuprite »

This popped up on my local facebook marketplace: 1107cc engine, €6500 euros!! But that's all the advert says. Looks like a huge 2-stroke to me. Nice machining. Is it a marine engine for a boat maybe? Anyone know?

I haven’t got a clue but we had Dolphin 2-stroke engines in one of our boats. They were much lighter than a diesel partly because they didn’t need a gearbox as to go astern you stopped the engine snd started it again to run backwards. They weren’t particularly economical. 😕
A jet-ski engine would make sense.

Ah, jet-ski. OK that makes sense.

Looks temptingly like it might slip into an RGV Gamma frame for an awesome special....
