Re: Removing ethanol from petrol
According to the respected 'real-world' researchers at Emissions Analytics (who first exposed Dieselgate), high-ethanol content petrol produces harmful levels of emissions of gases that you don't find at all in the exhausts of 'pure' petrol engines.
And these gases aren't covered by current legislation.
Furthermore...fuel consumption can be 30% WORSE on E20 than it is on E0.
So, there is no environmental benefit to putting this rubbish in fuel at all.
But it's made Greta happy, and that's made Carrie happy, and that means Boris is happy, and that's all that counts.
I suppose we can use the ethanol that we extract from petrol to add a little 'zing' to the fruit punch at our post-lockdown Summer parties...that last bit was a joke, BTW!
