Hi, have put TKC80s on my 15 plate 1200 GS , no problem off road great tyre but on the road front end feels like I’m on marbles rear not to bad but wouldn’t push in the wet . When braking front end vibrates ? Tyre pressure at the minute 33 - 36 , any feedback appreciated.

they were so bad at first i seriously thought about taking them off,but persevered and took me to maroc and back without problems.

I don't know if Conti have changed the compound of the TKC80, I put a pair on in September 2019, the front isn't even half worn after 11,000km and the rear is now on the limit, but the front still feels 'lose' at times, certainly different to the previous pair I had on the same bike.

I've had 80's on my Africa Twins for around 15 yrs now, and like them a lot both on tarmac and gravel/mud (nothing too radical off-road). On tarmac, the front certainly 'nobbles' a bit at walking speed but other than that they're fine. Certainly much nicer than the Tourances I had before, which notably 'white lined' when half worn. I'll be sticking with them and generally get around 6k miles from the rear and up to 10k miles on the front. They're also relatively easy to get on/off the rims.

I got a set off of a member on here cheap as he didn't like them. Put them on the 950 and had them for 1000 miles found them bloody awful in the road almost dangerous. Off road they were next to useless.
Took them off and gave them to a mate who was desperate for some tyre for a trip.
Once trip was finished he binned them.
We have both gone for the Pirelli MT21 front and the Mitas EO9 rear a far better tyre combo both on and off road.
Not sure you will get the sizes you need for your bike.
Also remember tyres can take a couple hundred miles to wear in

Thanks for replies, have done 1,000 miles on the at the moment and there not filling me with confidence on the road , will persevere and alter pressures and see if that makes a difference.

most peeps will agree tyres are usually black and round and that is about as much agreement that you are likely to get, you dont give any kind of reference front is poor compared to what? if it is your first try with an aggressive pattern it will feel vague and orrible compared to a road type tyre. not tried 21's but mitas 9,10, wilds karoo t's all the same to me, tkc was no no worse.IMO the price to pay for a bit of roost no and again.
