Car electrics

High everyone looking for a bit of help with an electrical problem with my car.
Car is a 2005 Kia Sorrento it was all ok last time I used it but it has been sat for a couple of days covered in snow so I'm guessing my problem is water related making a short some were.
The problem is that central locking not working ( opened it with the master key) car started and then I noticed all the indicaters are permanently on.
Wear should I start, I'm thinking remove front & back light's to check for water & give plugs & bulb holders a good going over with WD 40.
it's also got a tow bar fitted wired in to the off side back light cluster might be best starting there.

A short or a bad earth maybe. Abad earth. caused my rear lights to go like a christmas tree on an old car many years ago?

Try pulling all the fuses out and putting them back in one by one to see if you can isolate to certain circuits.

Google for the same issue / user forums?

If you are using WD40 on wet connections it helps to have a source of compressed air to blow out any water first.

If the battery has seen a few years service it might need a bit of a charge or replacing.

If the car has an aftermarket alarm system fitted, which also operates the central locking system remotely, it is worth checking that there is no water ingress to the alarm module.

Thanks for the replys, car has a recent quality battery fitted & car doesn't have an alarm fitted,
I'm going to check the towing socket tomorrow hopefully one item I can tick off the list !,

Car electrics are the work of the devil, I'd start with tow bar electrics, my sons got the similar issues and he disconnected them and all is well at the mo. Good luck.

Thanks for all the helpful information, problem now sorted.
I searched my problem on the Kia Sorrento forum & turned out to be a common problem, there's two block connecters that sit under the expansion bottle the largest one causes the issue I had.
Just a case of removing 3 nuts then move expansion bottle out the way (no need to disconnect), un clip the connector & give it a good clean & dry with a hair dryer, then a small amount of electrical grease.
All now working great.
