Duonix Bikescan-100 for BMW motorbikes

Anyone used the scanning tool from Touratech, it retail about £280 and its still a lot of money for something for blue moon use
Anyone bought one or know anyone who has.
Thinking with my commercial head if i bought one would anyone rent it for £10 per weekend or similar, sorry gents at ABR if this stands on any toes in the commercial dept, just throwing it out there

Greetings,

In the good old days lots of clubs used to do exactly that, buy a specialised tool and rent it out to the Members.

what is the protocol?--fault readers for cars are as cheap as chips comparatively---someone will be smart enough to get something cheap and cheerful organised. My WR 250R Yam does it all from the dash---fault codes fault clearing, sensor checks on pressure, temperature outputs etc, throttle position input(and the ability to reset), and so on. Admittedly you need to sit there with a few pages of guidance notes and fault code explanations but everything can be checked--including cycling the headlight, cycling the cooling fan and so on--no plug ins required--perfect engineering for a trail bike--and its 2009 !. I'm sure manufacturers (BMW ?) deliberately don't include such facility to force you into a dealers for analysis.

I bought an OBDLink LX and an adapter cable for my BMW.

Allowed me to clear my Service light & set the clock to 24 hour...

Plus it'll work on most cars.

You tend to have to download (and pay for) the appropriate software though....
