KTM 95o Engine blocking screw

Ordered the above to lock my 950 engine up while I do the tappets.

It's arrived, and in the bag is a sticker with a picture of it and its part number, plus a sheet of heavy flexible plastic about 2 ins sq (same size as the sticker) and...strangest of all, a metal clip thing like a very small set of tongs, with a slot in it, a bolt with a ridge on it which fits into the slot, and a dome-head screw that fits the bolt.

Can anyone explain any of this?

Photos might help, I just used a bolt with the end ground to a taper.

I have no idea what you've got there Richard, I made one for mine out of some threaded rod. Later on I bought the KTM version but I didn't have any extras like you describe

No idea sorry, I've always used a sturdy Philips screwdriver 8-)
I always thought of buying a longer bolt and grinding a point on it, but everytime I do the shims, I recall that idea and use the screwdriver

My man, you have it...the clip is to go on your wall-mounted toolboard, and it grasps the screw. The sticker reminds you where to put it back when you've finished!
