Hello there,
I had a small off last year and managed to damage 1 of my panniers and the top box.
Has anyone used a company to get aluminium panniers / top box repaired.
A little to expensive to replace at the moment,
Andy

It would be an idea to post your location. Someone may know a local fabricator.

Re: Aluminium Pannier Rebuild
Not sure what the damage is, if its just dents you can buy a panel beaters hammer off the big E and have a go.
If its the plastic fixings, you would probably have to fabricate something up in alloy.
I am an electric/electronic man but find that fixing/making mechanical things good fun.
You never really know if you can do it until you try.
There was a guy that I once worked for at my old work who had a PHD, his approach was, that if you came up against a problem that seemed unsolveable, you just charged at it, kicking down the barriers.

You can get Aluminium welding sticks that you can use with a blow torch.
I've had mixed results myself but.not knowing what damage you have or the gravity cannot add any more.

Thanks for the comments, based around Warwick / West Midlands.
Damage is a little more than dents, let’s say it’s gone from a square (top box) to a squished rhombus... Locks all working but hinges are damaged.

Greetings,
Perhaps a couple of photos would clarify the nature of the repair.
I would offer to help but my car body repairs are a kin to that of Father Ted;

That’s better, I live nearby.
I have a mate who is a master fabricator, a genius with aluminium.
PM your phone number, I’m sure if it’s possible to repair he can do it.
