GSA Riding lights

A lot of guys fit the denali or clearwater lights with a hex can or similar.

My question is though
Can you just replace the driving lights and use the existing wiring to wire in any other lights with the same current draw or is the can bus the issue.

I understand i won't have the ability to control; them but i only want on/off
