Diagnostic tool for BMW GS

Hi all,

I want to buy a diagnostic tool for my f800 but I'm a bit unsure of what to get. Do I really need a GS 911 or a cheaper one non BMW with an adaptor would work?

Join the BMW club for £32, rent a GS911 genuine tool for a fiver a time whenever you need it.

Don’t buy one the Chinese knock off GS911’s. They were cloned from an outdated original and apparently if you try to update them they’ll brick.

If you are keeping the bike for a while , or going to keep with BM's get a 911 , they are very good , you can always sell it on .
