Tiger 900 exhaust

Hi, I'm lookimg at maybe getting a Tiger 855, 885 or 955, depending on what comes along at the right price.
Whilst looking around I've noticed some of these bikes have a twin exhaust while most are single sided, can anyone tell.me which model/years are which?

The first Tigers the 885 referred to as "steamers" for some reason had twin exhausts the later 885i & 955i had single exhausts, I think?
I never had the early model only a 885i & 955i, then a Tiger 800 all good bikes but I would go for an 800 if budget allows the first models were very top heavy.

Twin exhaust Tigers are the 885 carbd bikes. Anything after is EFI and single exhaust.

Apparently the name 'steamer',originated in America,when owners of the newer injected Tigers reckon ed that the older carbed model was like a 'steamboat' compared? I've had mine about 6yrs,and it's been a great bike. Nothing much gone wrong,their pretty 'bulletproof'. But they need to be used regularly. Carbs don't like stale fuel,and batteries need to be in good shape. Coils WILL fail eventually,but you can now buy fresh set for about £100,or put Denso stick coils in.
Prices range from about £900_2400,depending on condition?

They handle surprisingly well,and the 'triple engine has bags of character. Front brakes are shite tho. But they need to be used regularly. Thanks everyone, that clears things up a bit.
The one I'm looking at is a 2000 885i.
I ride a '92 TDM at the mo, they're quite top heavy too, the Tiger tank appears a little lower than the TDM and wider, so should feel less top heavy than if you came from a different bike.
