Not a bit like it sounded

Easy fix that one put a socket on the nut, hold the outside of the socket with a good pair of Vice grips and Drill the centre of the bolt with a small drill
Remember it is stainless steel so keep the pressure on when drilling at you slowest speed, drill just a bit deeper than the nut
Then open the hole out with a drill bit the same size as the bolt its probably only 5mm or something like that
Don't let the bolt get hot as it might melt the plastic

Do not go anywhere near it with a hammer

If your close to the North West and get stuck give me a shout and I will take it of for you

you could try and use a female torx one which is just smaller than the outside edge of the bolt
take out your best and most loved hammer and batter the bugger on to said bolt
you will get a bit more leverage on the outside edge
Yep similar method to removing keyed locknuts, bang a socket onto the the remains of the allen head to give leverage.

aha!!! I'll keep that idea in my head.

Thanks

Now this might sound a bit daft but have you put a socket on the nut and with a small extension bar give it a sharpe blow with a mallet in an anti clock direction . The other method is to burn the nylon lock from the nut
a plumbers torch is best and direct a jet of water from a hose pipe on the other side of the plastic to prevent melting of the plastic .
Good luck and when its off copper slip and light tightening will prevent this happening again B)

get an impact gun on the nut with short pulls on the trigger.
