DRZ 400e Forks

Post by SteveW »

I'm after a new set of forks for my 2003 DRZ400e...corrosion has been busy under the rubber shrouds.
There's quite a few 400s forks on eBay are they the same?
Are there other forks that will do the job (better)?
Does anyone have a set of suitable forks for sale?

Might be best have new seals, bushes and re chromed as you then know it's all good. Used parts on eBay might be just as bad as what you have

It's the aluminium bottom legs that have suffered.

Mine has the same kind of corrosion less extensive so I cleaned off all the loose stuff then used a twopack metal mix and smoothed it out then wrapped it in carbon fibre look a like wrap. Did it a year ago and all is well.

Mine was right at the bottom of the folk rather than where yours is but hey you may surprise yourself.

You may be able to mix and match ? The e seals etc were ok The s I bought from a breaker so can't vouch for them
