Post by scooby »

Can anybody suggest a good upgrade for the suspension on my 2011 800GS ? i plan on using it for more offroad and would prefer ideas from anyone who has actually tried some mods please.

I took mine to Revs Racing (Halesowen); he supplied and fitted a Wilbers rear shock that kept the ESA and progressive springs in the front.

Thanks for the reply, i had a Wilbers shock on my Tiger and it was pretty good, im thinking i may go down the Hyperpro progressive fork and shock spring route.

Replaced my springs with Hyperpro very recently. Front fork dive eliminated, changing was fairly straightforward though the rear spring took some fiddling to compress. Give me a shout if you need any guidance

I’ve never taken this time one off road, got a little one that is easier to handle so use that.. Compared to my previous 800, the Hyperpro fork springs have improved the front fork dive hugely…much more fun to ride and feels more ‘planted’

Try Lucas at T-Tech suspension he will refurbish and upgrade your existing suspension for a lot less than buying a new one.
