Juliaca
The locals have started to use their small MC
With all the garbage still on the streets..
They get punctures.
And when there is a demand there are people that solves this.
Workshops pop in the middle of the avenue.
Between the lanes

Re: South American tour
Sure.
But I would prefer memories from touring the mountains of Peru. To Cusco and north.
Instead of memories from sitting in a hotel room in a war zone.
Without possibility to move.
It is hard from outside to understand the situation.
Even travelers in Ecuador, discuss about scenic routes and.....
which road is open and which is closed. What route to take....
As if everything was normal.
They get information but do not understand. It is one thing to read.
Another to be in it.

Blockade
They use more wires to block the roads.
The wires are marked with some plastic pieces attached. But hard to see

Stuck in the middle of Juliaca for one week.
And things are going from bad to worse.
No end visible.
Are you okay? Do you have enough food and somewhere to stay?
Will pray it works out mate

I am out of Puno Region
I am at the coast !!
Camana at Pan American. After two weeks in Juliaca
It happened more on this leg then during the two weeks before. So I will write a separate story.
But for now, I enjoy the freedom. And I am happy that I managed to handle all the situations on the way.
The red arrow is were I was
The green circle where I am now
Orange = route
In theory
Red dot = blocked road
Yellow dot : Problems
But there is so much more than this map shows
Update:
I have written a story about the trip out Puno.
But it is only in Swedish yet. I will take me some time to translate.
The pictures are ready to publish. They will come soon. Maybe before the story.

Pan American
The plan is Pan American to Ecuador with nothing extra.
Boring riding but I want to get out of Peru
Wish me luck. And pray
I wan't publish much from this It is the same route as I was going south.
But I will work to complete the Puno story.

Re: South American tour
Thanks for sharing your story Erik and take care.
Open your eyes and you see what is in front of you, open your mind and you see a bigger picture but open your heart and you see a whole new World.
