There were a lot of issues last year,
Covid 19 state of emergency.
"Self isolation"
Cracked meniscus
But a lot of short tours in the Algarve area.
Look back and get inspired

Re: Winter 2020 i Alagarve, Portugal
Yes it does.
When I see a sign "Viewpoint" or another sign that point to some thing interesting.
I just turn off and ride to investigate.
I do not have to worry about gravel/dirt roads.
Howto turn the bike around.
I do not search for off road riding just because riding trails.
Only to get to interesting places. And that is not off road. But unpaved roads.
But the freedom to go to interesting places, and do not have to turn around is very nice.
And for me, adds a lot to travel.
A "small" big (150 kg) with good tires is perfect,
It does not have to be a dirt bike. And 400 cc is not needed. 125 cc std bike with some "semi off road tires" would do perfect.
Average speed on most of my daily tours are 50 km/h. Twisty roads and small towns.
No need for big bikes.
Just one example
19 min, 14 km => 44 km/h as average
