Sun Dust Smiles in Spain
The documentation was a right ballache (see elswhere my summary on that) to get there but Spain did'nt disappoint, it never has done. Not been so late in to the year before so that raised some questions but it turned out doable Mostly pics of trails well because thats where I spent most of the time. As me and the bike were both very much kitted as light as possible and MX boots. a price I'd paid, it were'nt so easy to become a tourist as it is in road touring spec. Road or trail I cant recommend Spain enough Portugal too. Here are some pics but they just dont do it justice. The map below shows the route I toke(cw) mileage averaged only a measely 130miles a day, but I made a concious descion to go slow and also keep some tyre for the potential tricky wet Northern last section, had a couple of technicals, one wire going to the immobilizer? could have been a flight home, the other the paralever bolt working loose the second time on a Spanish trail trip was just a short time inconvenience. so here are some pics from the Cantabrians, Pyrenees, Catalonia(rally), Aragon Burgos, sorry to any other regions if I have missed you. I have to say the Moto spirit is super strong amongst the Spaniards also the people in general super friendly and helpfull . Gracias Spanish People and Spain and all the others I met on this tour wonderfull memories.

Re: Sun Dust Smiles in Spain
I wild camped I think 4 times, once camped in a barn at the invitation of the owners after one +++ schnapps very memorable with breakfast as their guest, the rest campsites, sure it would be possible to wildcamp every night but thats not my choice, finding an official campsite on some days may have proved tricky but by chance no planning as such the mix worked pretty well. Personaly I cant think of anything much more tiresome than googling .com's at 5pm for accomodation. Pretty much always wing it one of the pro's of going solo I suppose, then again a riding buddy might love googling for a bed, and so it goes. The autumn colours were fantastic as I rode North on the second leg it felt like I was riding in to the Autumn I never bored of the simple beauty of it I am pretty good and disciplined at making risk asessments of what I take on, but how to do that on a climb that goes steeper unseen is tricky once your commited its difficult to bug out probably the most risk for me is in these conditions, need to work on it, pre walking is tough but may have to happen this one was steep, after seeing around the bend it was too late really but I was just riding in to a fall. Sand, never really had a proper go before on the BM, Did a little bit not the most difficult but enough to give some confidence i even started to enjoy it no photo's really once your in it and enjoying it you just wanna keep it going, had to shout at myself a bit, but it was fun, but risky.
