Stelvio Pass - Restaurant
There was a restaurant located a bit higher than the actual pass.
Claimed to be at 2 800 m
Nice place for a "Fika"

Stelvio to Sella
I selected Camping Marmolada in Canazei as my base camp for Sello Ronda.
I entered that in my GPS, with starting south of Stelvio Pass.
The GPS wanted me to go back over Stelvio. But I added a way point to the South. To get a route in the direction.

Little did I know what was waiting...during these 4½ (5 hours) to cover 200 km
3 passes on the way. First one was Gavia Pass.
Small roads. Often 2½ m wide. No room for meeting a car. Damaged tarmac. Hairpins around blind corners.
And in most places, lack of fences. Only some poles marking the border to the .......
Better for bicycles than motorcycles.
I was glad that there was very little traffic.

I did not take many pictures.......
Riding to all energy.
Resting place
Refugio for climbers
What is this ??
Sella Ronda was like a racing velodrome compared to Gavia.
later, I made 2 easier passes.
Before arriving at the camping.

Sella ronda
Time for the grand finale !!
Do you remember first how this serie of post started ?
Well: Here is the route taken around Sella Ronda.
Start and end in Canazei.
Clockwize.
The route showed to be very popular.
And to a great extent used as race track.
There where large groups of bikers. Racing their bikes to the rev limiter.
I met both a Porsche club and a Mazda MX-5 club that were out and racing their cars.
So for that purpose it is probably a fantastic "Ronda"
I have been using a Suzuki GSX-R 1100 as a bike to and from work for many years. 130 km round trip.
Half of that distance on tarmac with nice bends......
So it is not what I want to do in Italy....
But that is me.
For scenic views, it did not live up to many other places that I had visited during the trip.
